‘Release’ is a term that describes the act of loosening tight muscles or breaking down scar tissue of an injured muscle. The foam roller is an excellent tool for releasing muscles. The act of muscle release by way of rolling is coined ‘Roll Release’.

Releasing can achieve tremendous results. Traditionally, strengthening and stretching (flexibility) have been the primary approaches to fitness and injury rehabilitation.

However, muscle (myofascial) release is extremely effective at managing or resolving a variety of issues, many of which stretching and strengthening can not address. By implementing release work into a fitness or injury rehabilitation routine, results can be optimized.

Now, the alternatives available (i.e. strengthen, stretch or release) can be more strategic and versatile to the issues that present. Many athletes and active people have made the transition to rolling for muscle release and many will follow. That is what makes this a ‘Release Revolution’!


Why Roll?


There are two general reasons to roll: muscle pain and muscle tightness.
